Annual Plant Sale - April 15, 2023

The annual Rosemary and Thyme Herb Society of Gaston County plant sale took place on April 15, 2023. The group above is just a few of the members which came out to help sell plants, answer questions from customers and generally, have a great time! (Apologies to the second wave of volunteers whose picture I did not get.)

Held at the Mt. Holly Farmer's Market, the society could not have been treated any better. Not only were awnings and tables provided for us, but they set them up and helped carry plants from cars and trucks to our tables.

After several months of growing seedlings at the Holy Angels greenhouse (and a big thanks to them), it was time to release them into the world. Displays were set up and identification tags were set into the groupings of herbs. 

Members assisted customers in answering questions about how to grow the herbs and how to use them. We also handed out information about the society and got suggestions for herbs to grow for our next sale. 

The sale was very successful. While the final figure is not in yet, it looks like we cleared over $1000 for the society. Now we are looking for suggestions on how to best utilize the funds for the club.
