January 2024 Meeting - 'Regifting' and Tea Cup Exchange

Like little Christmas elves, Liz Atterberry and Kathy Johnston decorated the meeting room Friday night for our January Meeting, which was a potluck brunch, tea cup exchange and 'regifting' exchange.

Robin Lodge and Debi Baldi handled setting up the buffet. There was no excuse for anyone to go hungry! The society provided ham, turkey and dessert. Robin Lodge served black tea during the meal and then a spiced tea for afterwards.

Those doing a tea cup exchange selected their cups for use during the meal.

After the meal, it was time for 'regifting'.

The variety of gifts exchange was wide - everything from garden decor to candles to body products. There was also a lot of laughter as gifts were 'stolen'. Liz Atterberry promised Brenda Barr she would be nice to her all year if she didn't steal Liz's gift!

Just a note. There were some members who don't use tea cups at home and decided not to exchange a cup. The same for the 'regifting'. Those who didn't participate got a front row seat to the fun without having to make the decision if they wanted to 'steal' a gift or select one.

As everyone was departing the meeting, the board handed out gift bags which included a note pad and pen, hand lotion, lavender, and candy.
